30 Paintings in 30 Days: February Isn't So Bad
I chose a theme near to my heart for this month's 30/30 challenge: Reasons why February isn't the worst month of the year. Lots of people hate on February, and I get it--I live in a cold winter city, and toward the end of winter some of us start to lose our minds. Which is why I compiled a list of all the greatness to be found in this month. Yes, my birthday is in February, but there's more! I wrote a blog post about the February favorites I can name, and here you'll find my painting tributes to most of the following: 1. Super Bowl 2. Olympics 3. Mardi Gras 4. Valentine's Day 5. Chinese New Year 6. President's Day 7. Spring training begins 8. My birthday 9. Really good bad movies 10. the Oscars (usually) 11. Chicago Auto Show 12. Orchid Show a the Chicago Botanic Garden 13. Free admission to museums
All of these paintings are oil on panel, except for the last one, which is painted on canvas. They are all available to purchase, and they are priced unframed. If you'd like me to frame one for you, I'd be happy to and will calculate a framed price per your request.
