30 Paintings in 30 Days: Sand and Smoke
This gallery is my work made during the 30 Paintings in 30 Days challenge, a bi-annual event hosted by Leslie Saeta. I divided the month in half: the beach and the city. I live in Chicago, but on September 1 I headed to the coast of South Carolina for vacation. It seemed like a natural break to split the month into these two themes. All of the paintings were made with a little Sakura watercolor field kit, Caran d'Ache water-soluble pencils, and Sakura Pigma Micron pens. Almost all of them were painted in a 5.5 x 8.5-inch sketchbook. This was my tidy travel kit to take to on vacation, and I enjoyed using it so much that I kept with it through the entire challenge.
Every painting is now available for sale. They are $40 each. Send me a message if you would like to make a purchase.
