I painted this during the Evanston Plein Air Festival in 2024. This Bavarian-style buildiing is next to the el tracks, where I set up my easel. The sound of the el didn't bother me at all. It was such a beautiful summer afternoon, and that big cottony cloud floated over the point of the roof just when I needed it.
