Monhegan Island

My mother--a competitive gift giver--gave me a spot in a painting workshop taught by my high-school art teacher, Walt Bartman. The workshop was on a teeny island well known by many famous artists who have been trekking there for over a hundred years. My mom ALSO invited my friend from high school Anne Wert to go with me, and then I asked another friend, Maura Matthews, to join us. We had all painted together with Mr. Bartman, and we are all professional painters now.

I made a painting a day, along with sketches, and took over 200 photos to help paint more at home.
