A theme I find myself returning to over and over is a hint of the man-made world in a natural setting. It's not only a juxtaposition but also an accurate picture of humanity's place in the world.
Here along a narrow strip of land on the South Carolina coast, the dunes protect the beach and the houses. But in this picture I think the houses look like sentries protecting the dune.
