I started with a yellow wash then the green leaf next to it. Shapes and linesstarted to shoot out from that central pairing. I'd say most of the flowers I'm painting are "inspired by" memories of real flowers. Is that yellow flower a chrysanthemum? Maybe. I'm more interested in the shapes with these blooms.
