In this class you’ll paint a Chicago landscape using a reference photo provided by Amanda. With just a few fundamentals, you’ll have a clear set of steps to make a painting in a loosely realistic style. We’ll use a limited color palette, limited brush sizes, and a small canvas to get going and get confident with painting. You’ll be able to finish this painting in two hours because we start with big brushes and work our way down to the small ones at the very end. You’ll be surprised at what you can achieve with one good, big brush! You’ll learn several brushstrokes and how to give your painting dimension with a range of values.
